This little step stool is built using all locally harvested red oak. The sides of the stool are flared to provide a sturdy, tip resistant base for the top step.
The base of the stool is painted in a charcoal grey color, and the top is stained in a medium brown and finished with a water based matte lacquer.
Mortise and tenon joinery is used to hold the rails to the sides, and then the joints are reinforced with screws. This construction provides a sturdy, solid base that should last for years.
The dimensions are approximately 8 x 13 inches for the top, and it stands about 8 inches high.
